Review: Colour Pop No Filter Concealer

Good Morning Everyone!

I happen to be waking up in a beautiful apartment in Birmingham this morning with my family so all is well!

I bought the CP No Filter Concealers a few weeks ago now, and have been planning my review for a while since I bought them, but I wanted to make sure I’d applied a few times before I made my mind up about them.

What I will say is, they’re great, but they’re not amazing.

The improved shade range is brilliant in my opinion and that is because I never normally find a concealer light enough for my complexion!

So I obviously had to be completely extra and buy the two lightest shades!

002 I will normally use on its own although I sometimes mix it with my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer if I’m wearing fake tan! I also mix my 00 shade because clearly no one is that pale 😅!

I really feel like these shades have upped my makeup game, because I find it a lot easier to contour and highlight when I actually have contrasting colours to my foundation.

One down point I will say, is that the formula seems to dry really dry and it collects in all the small creases under my eye, this happens pretty much soon after it dries.

Not sure if that’s anything to do with my primer though but I shouldn’t think so? I can’t complain too much because they are only $6!!!

Overall I do really like them, but I think I would prefer my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer if they had my shade!

I really hope you enjoyed this review!

Primark VLuxe Lash Review 🤭😭

Heyyyyy everyone!

So if you saw yesterday’s blog post I was raving about the new beauty items I bought from Primark! One of which being the gorgeous VLuxe mink inspired lashes for £6

I tried them out today and wore them for approximately 5 hours so I thought I’d let y’all know my thoughts!

First off, I was aiming for something dramatic by choosing the Gala style and I was not disappointed!

The look and style was exactly what I aimed for and I found them extremely easy to apply.

The price of £6 is such a small price to pay for the sheer volume of these lashes!

The one big issue however was the glue that came with them! I felt ok for the first few hours and like I said they applied really easily. However my eyes started really hurting after a few hours of wear and I could tell it was bad quality glue causing it.

When I finally got the chance to take the lashes off I was looking in the mirror and I noticed a blister on my eye ball 😩! I have never had a blister on the actual eye and didn’t know it was possible. I got my husband to check to make sure I wasn’t seeing things (pardon the pun 🤗) and he agreed that there was definitely a blister there. It really creeped me out because it was extending over my iris!

Another four hours later and my eye is still really sore and I can feel the blister when I blink 😭!

So basically, amazing eyelashes, and a whopping 10/10 for those. But the glue has a resounding -1000/10 and I will not be using it again! I have some better quality glue that I will be using to apply them in future. I love a lash but I don’t want to go blind over it people!

Have any of you had the same experience with bad quality glue?

Let me know!

Where’d you get those lashes hun?

This blog post was prompted by a comment I received from one of my Instagram followers!

It was on this video right here:

By a young lady asking me where I bought my lashes! So I decided to write a lil old review for all of my blogging beauties!

I bought them from my local Asda Superstore! They set me back £8, which in my opinion is actually really good for a set of two lashes!

The glue is provided, and as the box states they are re-useable which is always an absolute bonus! I have worn one pair 3 times now and I would say they are starting to lose shape now. So six uses out of a box of two seems relatively good!

The only slight downfall to that is that I am not sure the glue will last that long to be honest. It’s a very small container, but I haven’t used it up yet so I wouldn’t know for certain just yet.

As you can see in the video the lashes look very luxurious. They don’t overpower the look and they are very easy to apply.

So if you love these lashes, and you live in the UK 😜. Head on down to your local Asda and grab yourself some!

As always, if you enjoyed this post and you’re not following already… then what are you waiting for!

Beaut Lips for £1.50 💋

Well hello there to all of you beautiful people! I literally found a bargain of a life time the other day and I’m so impressed with it that I just had to dedicate a blog post to it!

I picked up this beautiful lipstick set by the body collection for £1.50, it had been reduced to half price and was looking real lonely in the sale basket, I was literally in love as soon as I saw it.

For one, the floral design of the containers was so pretty and adequately named ‘vintage bouquet’ I could see these looking lovely on my dressing table!

I am used to such a generic packaging design that these caught my eye instantly. I was really sceptical of the price at first and thought that possibly the quality of the items would be lacking. This idea quickly faded when I looked at the price again! I’m 100% glad I bought them because the quality of the items is actually lovely.

I would use these lipsticks for day to day, out and about or going to work. The liners match up really well also, and add to the overall finish and stability of the lipstick!

As you can see the shades are slightly different with one being more peachy and one a slightly deeper pink. I used the first set of colours for the look below, and also used a metallic lip gloss on top.

I found a link online if you wanted to check them out further, but the one I found is £11! So I’m feeling real lucky right now haha!

REVIEW: Montagne Jeunesse 7th Heaven

For my birthday a couple of years ago now, I received this beaut Montaigne Jeunesse Top to toe treats tin from my sister! I use them every so often if I’m planning a night out or I feel like having a relaxing evening.

It includes face masks, hair masks, body scrubs and foot masks! So top to toe just like it says on the tin! I am going to be reviewing some of the hair masks in the near future so look out for those!

This tin costs a total of £10 at the moment which I think is amazing considering everything you get!

Today I tried the ‘Red Hot Earth Sauna Mask’

I took one photograph of my face and thought nope absolutely too scary to ever see the light of day! So you’ll just have to believe what I’m saying haha!

The mask is very creamy pink and you can feel the heat as soon as you put it in your palm! You apply the mask to an already cleansed wet face. When I did this I was actually quite shocked with the intensity of the heat -in a good way though! It actually felt hot but soon died down when I left it for a few seconds to a mellower heat.

I left it on for the recommended time of 15 mins while I was in the bath, then I washed it off. I did find that the heat really helped to open my pores so I could get all that grime out!

Now my face is dry it now feels very clean, smooth and a little on the dry side. But it’s a good feeling because I feel that I’ve actually cleaned my face properly, I don’t have any visible flakes of skin. I’m going to apply a little bit of moisturiser when I’ve finished this post and I’ll be good to apply my makeup later!

I think these masks are amazing value for money and really make you feel like you’ve had a little treat when you’re done, so I would highly recommend!

That’s all for now folks! So if you enjoyed this post hit that follow button, and don’t forget to let me know what you think in the comments below!

REVIEW: The best mascara!

Hey everyone! Today I’m going to review the Maybelline Colossal Mascara! To be honest this is going to be pretty short because there isn’t much to say other than it’s awesome!

I am really picky with mascara but this one ticks all the boxes for me! The brush is thick and easy to use and it lasts a really long time, I replace mine every five months. I’d say that’s pretty good considering I use it nearly every day. It’s around £7 depending on where you buy it and it’s definitely worth it.

So basically I’m just informing you guys that this mascara is awesome and you should buy it!

Let me know what you think if you’ve tried it before? I’d love to know if it’s just me or not haha!

NSPA Skincare – Beauty Review 🌱

I am a self admitted, skin care screw up. Even that is an exaggeration, because I’d have to have some kind of skin care routine in the first place to screw it up!

I know I’ve been neglecting my skin, and taking advantage of my youth. Since I’ve been blogging a lot more recently and getting involved in the beauty community I have kind of realised I need to look after my skin a hell of a lot more. I don’t have unlimited funds for such things so I found myself looking in ASDA for some skin care products that were a great price and still gave me that luxury feel!

I came across the gorgeous NSPA Products exclusive to ASDA. They were on offer at 3 for two so I picked up three items that caught my eye! I looked on the back of the items and also realised they are vegan friendly and cruelty free along with being made in the UK. This ticked three big boxes for me because I am trying to be more conscious of the ingredients in my products, how they are tested and where they come from!

And before anyone mentions it, yes, I know I picked 1,2,2 instead of the recommended 1,2,3 but I have lots of moisturiser at home (this was the suggested no.3) and was much more intrigued by the radiant flash serum! Sometimes you just have to go with the items you like!

Review:

Price and Packaging: I picked up all three items for £10, which I think is amazing compared to some of the more high end products in this department! The packaging was precise, and modern. I love the fresh blue colour of the boxes, they really felt like luxury items!

Products:

I started the routine by using the Micellar Cleanser to wipe off any excess makeup from my already wiped face.

The instructions were as follows:

Apply generously to a cotton wool pad. Wipe the pad in gentle circular motions over skin to remove dirt and make-up, repeat as necessary until the pad is clear. For best results, use morning and evening and follow with Step 2 Treat and 3 Moisturise.

This item worked great! I used a cotton wool bud to wipe off any excess makeup from around my eyes and used a baby wipe to do the rest. There was no scent to this cleanser and it left my face feeling clean.

I then moved onto the Brightening Micro Derma Scrub using the instructions as follows:

Smooth Scrub onto damp skin and work in with gentle circular motions. Rinse well with warm water and gently pat dry. Follow with Step 3 Moisturise. For best results, with dry skin exfoliate up-to three times per week. With more oily skin exfoliate up-to two times per week.

The gentle exfoliator was gentle like the packaging stated, the scent was also gorgeous, I feel like that had something to do with the added ginseng! Also containing vitamin E this exfoliator is designed to leave your face feeling clear, refined and smooth. It did!

After patting my face dry I applied a small amount of Epaderm moisturiser before moving onto my last item!

The Radiant Flash Serum – I just love this one! As you can see below, the glow is phenomenal!

Instructions: Apply serum onto cleansed skin, patting or smoothing in gently. Wear over or under makeup for an instant pick-me-up

I smoothed a pea sized amount over my cleansed face and it looked and smelt divine! I couldn’t pick it up on the photograph but it left my face shimmering ✨!

I am completely impressed with all aspects of these products, and I’m also really pleased that I went for numbers 1,2,2 because I feel like with my added moisturiser between I completed my perfect 4 step process!

I thoroughly enjoyed using these items and would definitely recommend! Have you used NSPA before?
