Makeup Monday: White Liner, a Beauty first!🤩

Good Morning! Happy Monday to you all!

I am excited about this post. I am reallllllly excited, because I feel like I have stepped out of my comfort zone with my makeup and done something a little different!

I did a makeup haul recently and I was on the hunt for one item in particular. White Eyeliner. And indeed I found a White Liquid Liner in Superdrug for an amazing £3… I mean what a price.

I am a black liner gal through and through. So white was a whole lot different to what I’m used to but I am so happy with my results!

I’m literally in love with this look. It’s my favourite to date. In terms of application I would say you have to go over the white a lot more than you do with black, this could possibly be to do with the price.

Do you like the little dots I put on my nose? I feel like they add a slightly boho touch.

I think the lip colour fits really well with the look as a whole, using my Primark Liquid Lip Kit, again £3.

I actually felt a little self conscious going out like this, mainly because you don’t see many people out and about rocking the white liner. But I did it anyway, and I actually got so many compliments! Lots of people said I looked really pretty! Which was really nice because generally I wouldn’t class myself as pretty.

Let me know what you think beauties! And if you’re new here, hit up that follow button!

Review: Primark Matte Liquid Lip Kit

Hey hey everyone! Nice to have you back if you’re a follower, and nice to have you join us if you’re not!

Today I am going to be reviewing this Primark Liquid Lip Kit for £3!

So as you can see, the packaging leaves a little to be desired and so does the product packaging itself. But the Liquid lipstick does have a nice matte feel to the tube. The text font is a little basic but I feel like this can be excused because of the killer price!

The lip liner is gorgeous! It is creamy and does what it’s supposed to do, it’s also a perfect match for the accompanying lipstick, which is always a good thing scenes they’re a pair!

The Matte Lip Liquid itself feels lovely when applying and glides on evenly, the only downside I would say is that it seems to become a bit too dry for my liking, but this isn’t such an issue if you like using gloss! As I just apply a clear gloss over the top and it doesn’t feel so stiff.

I’d say you can get about 4 hours wear before it starts becoming a bit patchy.

I love the look and colour and I think it is an amazing product for £3. I will definitely be buying more shades because I’m really impressed!

I’d love to know your opinion! Also can anyone recommend any other Matte Liquid Lipsticks for me to try?

Let me know down below! And hit that subscribe button if you haven’t already! You’re making my dreams come true 💕!

Beauty Q+A With one of my followers! – The Glow Medic

Good Morning beautiful people! I hope you’re having a lovely day so far, thank you for clicking this post!

I love doing shoutouts on my page but I like to switch it up and keep it interesting so today I will be blogging a Beauty Q+A With the beautiful and talented blogger The Glow Medic

Her Makeup reviews are bomb at hell and her photographs are beautiful too as you can see below:

So I thought she would be the perfect person to select for this post! Let’s get to it!…

1) What is your favourite beauty brand and why?

My favourite beauty brand would be ColourPop Cosmetics- their product launches are the ones that really grab my attention and excite me, plus all their products are really great quality at an extremely affordable price.

2) What piece of makeup couldn’t you live without?

I couldn’t live without an eyebrow pencil. I can leave the house without foundation/concealer no problem, but you know I’m having a rough day if I haven’t even got my brows on!

3) Smokey eye or pop of colour?

I don’t wear eyeshadow on a regular basis so I always like to take the time to do a bright or unusual colour combo when I can- life’s too short for boring eyeshadow.

4) Your go-to lipstick shade and why?

This is very difficult for me because a mother loves all of her children equally, but my favourite lipstick would be the Huda Beauty liquid lipstick in the shade ‘Bombshell’- it goes with everything.

5) What made you start a beauty blog?

I developed a love of makeup when I first started studying medicine. Makeup was a way to keep a creative passion on the side, a sort of escape, from the challenges and hard work of a medical degree. I started my blog last year after the end of my 3rd year at uni, a time when I transferred from a Malaysian uni to Edinburgh. I thought it would be good to start my blog at the beginning of this new chapter in my life.

6) Who is your beauty inspiration?

Pat McGrath. She is not only an inspirational WOC but she’s probably the most influential makeup artist of the past decade, with makeup looks that are more like works of modern art!

7) Blush or Bronzer?

Bronzer for sure! I may live in Edinburgh, but I like to pretend I live on a beach in Bali.

8) How long does i take you to do a full glam look?

30-45 mins. I was (fashionably) late to a uni medics’ ball recently because of how long I can take.

9) Top makeup tip?

Be smart when buying your makeup. Don’t just assume that the most expensive/well-known brands are the best, or buy things just because they’re hyped-up, read/watch reviews from people of a similar skin type/tone to you, test it out and form your own opinions.

10) Go-to eyeshadow palette?

The Becca Cosmetics Ombre Rouge eyeshadow palette, as it has all the neutral mattes you’d ever need. This, plus a ColourPop Cosmetics Super Shock eyeshadow = the easiest eyeshadow look ever.

11) How would you describe your makeup style?

GLAM GLAM GLAM. I did the makeup for a uni play recently and I was banned from using glitter on the cast members as it was ‘too glam’. The horror!

Yaaaaas! Absolutely loved all of these answers! I totally agree with not being drawn into the hype of extremely expensive brands because you can find some amazing alternatives in drug stores!

Thank you for doing my beauty Q+A Iman! I really enjoyed writing the questions and reading your answers!

Makeup Monday 09: Revolution Pro Eyeshadow Look

Happy Monday bloggers! + My non blogging readers of course!

I went on a little bit of a makeup spending spree over the weekend and as you saw by my Primark Beauty Haul Post! I like to keep my spends cost effective because as you can imagine makeup can be an expensive habit!

I actually got sucked into a stunning Kiko Cosmetics shop where a single eyeshadow will set you back £5.90! The price was reflected in the quality of the makeup, the pigment and texture was out of this world! But if you’re on a budget, luxury has to wait! I will be back though 😏!

Anyway… I picked up this beautiful Revolution Pro Palette for £8!

£8 FOR 18 SHADES ARE U MAD!

I love all of these shades and will post a swatch pic at some point on my Instagram @lollyhm.fashion

So today it’s only right that I show you an eyeshadow look I created using this palette!

I used shades, Riches, Personal and Discrepancy 😍! I only managed to take a few selfies before we went out so sorry you can’t see the whole eye but I think you get the picture 😏. Here’s a video too…

Who do I think I am haha! Peep the matte lip gloss too from my Primark Nude Lip Kit for £3! I think I killed it this month with the bargain buys to be honest!

Let me know what you think!

As always hit that follow button if you think I’m worth it, and if you’re following already, thank you so much I love u 😘!

Primark VLuxe Lash Review 🤭😭

Heyyyyy everyone!

So if you saw yesterday’s blog post I was raving about the new beauty items I bought from Primark! One of which being the gorgeous VLuxe mink inspired lashes for £6

I tried them out today and wore them for approximately 5 hours so I thought I’d let y’all know my thoughts!

First off, I was aiming for something dramatic by choosing the Gala style and I was not disappointed!

The look and style was exactly what I aimed for and I found them extremely easy to apply.

The price of £6 is such a small price to pay for the sheer volume of these lashes!

The one big issue however was the glue that came with them! I felt ok for the first few hours and like I said they applied really easily. However my eyes started really hurting after a few hours of wear and I could tell it was bad quality glue causing it.

When I finally got the chance to take the lashes off I was looking in the mirror and I noticed a blister on my eye ball 😩! I have never had a blister on the actual eye and didn’t know it was possible. I got my husband to check to make sure I wasn’t seeing things (pardon the pun 🤗) and he agreed that there was definitely a blister there. It really creeped me out because it was extending over my iris!

Another four hours later and my eye is still really sore and I can feel the blister when I blink 😭!

So basically, amazing eyelashes, and a whopping 10/10 for those. But the glue has a resounding -1000/10 and I will not be using it again! I have some better quality glue that I will be using to apply them in future. I love a lash but I don’t want to go blind over it people!

Have any of you had the same experience with bad quality glue?

Let me know!

Primark Beauty Haul 💄

We all know how easy it is to get sucked into the hype surrounding luxury makeup brands 🙄! But today I was determined to rise above labels and head on into my nearest Primark store to see what budget beauty items I could find!

I was so surprised with some of the BOMB things I found! So I put together a lil blog post to show you guys what I bought!

I will be reviewing all of the items in more detail in future posts so look out for those if you wish to see swatches and try on! So, let’s get to it!..

1: Get Lippy Matte Lip Kit

Shade: Flutter Price: £3.00

First of all, what a price for a matte gloss and liner! I quickly tried it out and I love it! I don’t own any other matte glosses though so I don’t have much to compare with! I will 100% show you guys another day because I look rough as hell right now!

2: Eye Candy Metallic Eye Kit

Shade: Bronze Price: £3

This kit looks super gorgeous and it comes with a metallic eyeshadow cream, a matching eye pencil and a precision applicator!

3: Stay All Day, Gel liner.

Colour: Black Price: £1

So this item was reduced from £2 and I have actually ran out of my liquid liner so for £1 I just had to buy it! I love the way the applicator is attached to the lid too!

4: Pure Glow Highlighting Palette

Price: £5

Apparently I can’t resist a highlighter because I couldn’t resist buying some today when I don’t actually need one. I also got over excited and did a swatch so here you go..

From left to right is, Desert, Glimmer, Eden and Firefly. They are amazingly pigmented for the price and I definitely think they could double as eyeshadow!

5: Skin Frost Iridescent glow stick.

Price: £3

This little beauty glows like the packaging so I am really keen to see how I can apply it to my skin!

6: vLuxe Mink Inspired Lash

Style: Gala Price: £6

I mean, say no more these are hands down the most amazing lashes I’ve seen for £6! Like for real, the volume and quality is gorgeous! So I bought two packs! I am so excited to try these out tomorrow!

7: Nudes Stick on Nails

Price: £2:50

Yeah so I grabbed these because they look beaut!

The total price for my beauty haul from Primark came to: £29.50. Which as you know is amazing because you can pay that price and much more for just ONE high end product!

Super excited to try all of this for real!

I was also hoping to buy some foundation or concealer but unfortunately there were no colours anywhere near the shade I needed. They were all way too dark. The foundations had sold and the concealer, although labelled ivory, the sticks definitely looked more ‘soft beige’ to me! So I passed on that part of the experience!

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and I would love to hear your thoughts!

If you’re new to my blog then WELCOME and if you’re a follower then WELCOME BACK!
