Review: Colour Pop No Filter Concealer

Good Morning Everyone!

I happen to be waking up in a beautiful apartment in Birmingham this morning with my family so all is well!

I bought the CP No Filter Concealers a few weeks ago now, and have been planning my review for a while since I bought them, but I wanted to make sure I’d applied a few times before I made my mind up about them.

What I will say is, they’re great, but they’re not amazing.

The improved shade range is brilliant in my opinion and that is because I never normally find a concealer light enough for my complexion!

So I obviously had to be completely extra and buy the two lightest shades!

002 I will normally use on its own although I sometimes mix it with my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer if I’m wearing fake tan! I also mix my 00 shade because clearly no one is that pale πŸ˜…!

I really feel like these shades have upped my makeup game, because I find it a lot easier to contour and highlight when I actually have contrasting colours to my foundation.

One down point I will say, is that the formula seems to dry really dry and it collects in all the small creases under my eye, this happens pretty much soon after it dries.

Not sure if that’s anything to do with my primer though but I shouldn’t think so? I can’t complain too much because they are only $6!!!

Overall I do really like them, but I think I would prefer my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer if they had my shade!

I really hope you enjoyed this review!

My First Colour Pop Order πŸ˜»

Good Morning everyone and happy Friday!!!

I received an order I have been eagerly anticipating yesterday and that was my first ever Colour Pop order.

I have been searching for a good liquid concealer for ages now and I never seem to find a shade light enough to use as a highlight! So when CP blew up on the gram with this photograph:

I was super excited, because there is a shade there that is 100% light enough for me!

I went with shade Fair 02, and I also added Fair 00 to my basket and this is because I already have a concealer that is way too dark for me so I plan to lighten it up with the 00 shade 😏! At $6 per shade how could I say no!

Like I wasn’t happy enough, when I clicked on my basket I realised there was something else there, at first I was like huh better delete that because I ain’t paying for something extra… Then I looked at the price and realised it was free!

I just so happened to make my first order while CP was celebrating its 4th birthday and I got this gorgeous creamy eyeshadow too for absolutely nothing!

It doesn’t even end there because I got $5 off my first order because I signed up to their mailing list, I meannnn 🀩. In total I paid around $10 for my items including shipping to the UK

The outside of the box simply said ‘Made in LA’ but the inside of the box really bought the partayyy!

I am so impressed with the whole service!

I will do a more detailed review of the concealers but just look at the shimmer on the shadow…

Can’t wait to use them all properly! I am really impressed with my first overseas shipment of makeup!

I hope you enjoyed today’s post guys! Let me know your thoughts on Colour Pop and what I should order next time!

My Makeup Progress πŸ€©

Happy Hump Day People!

It is one fine day in the UK, the sun is shining and I am feeling positive!

One reason for this is because I just compared two of my makeup looks, one from last month and one from yesterday and I’m like WHATTTTT! Haha I know modest. But legit I’m so happy with how much I have improved in such a small space of time!

I have been letting you guys know about my cut Crease dramas, but the past week has involved me miraculously improving on my precision and I’m literally loving life.

Practice really is the key to being successful in anything in life. I also realised that my makeup photography game has upped too! Unbelievably both of these photographs were taken with the same camera. My iPhone 7+ to be specific. I legit thought the camera quality was at fault in the first photograph but I was clearly just taking rubbish photos 🀣!

I can still see a lot of areas that need improving, like my brows sorry people but it’s nice to reflect on the progress I’ve made so far!

What do you think!?

I would love to hear your thoughts and also, if you want to see my future progressions, hit that follow button if you haven’t already! I’m also trying to reach the target of 600 followers on my Instagram, so if you have one hit me up and I’ll follow you back!

Makeup Monday: 100% GLAM

Hey everyone!

Holla at all of my new followers! Seriously love you guys!

It’s Makeup Monday and I’m pretty excited because if you have been following my makeup Monday’s you will know that last week I wasn’t all that happy with the look I produced! But it is a new week and I am feeling great about this one!

Tadaaa! So yeah I went FULL GLAM! I loved working some glitter into the eyes because it just makes you feel like a princess.

I also used a little more blush than usual to really make my features pop.

I blended my eyeshadow from pink to purple to blue and added matching pink glitter to the inner lid. I also used some of the pink eyeshadow on top of my lipstick and added gloss so I could get the colour match on point. Slightly odd but it works haha!

I look slightly dewy which wasn’t something I was planning on, I’m more of a Matte with Glow gal but hey!

I hope you like this one, and if you do let me know in the comments below! I would also love to know which colours/themes you would like to see more of!

If you enjoyed visiting my blog, please give it a follow if you haven’t already!

Makeup Monday: Is it a halo though?!

Hey everyone!

Today I’m going to be sharing a makeup look with you, and I’ve gotta be honest, I’m not sure if I like it. I put a lot of effort into it and on this particular occasion I don’t really feel like it shows!

I really wanted to get a Halo Cut Crease down on the first attempt. I didn’t haha. Obviously, because these things take time.

I do like the look, but compared to the picture in my head it just isn’t living up to my expectations unfortunately!

I wanted to match the white dots I added to my brow line with a white line on my lip. I added some gold glitter to the outer line of that and it ended up looking like I smudged the white everywhere on the photos so that’s another reason why I’m not 100% happy.

I re-applied the white lip line without the glitter and it looks a lot cleaner so that made me feel better!

Obviously though this is the process. Some looks I love and others I learn how to improve them for next time!

I feel like I need to be a bit braver and blend some darker shades into the halo to make the lighter colours pop!

Let me know what you think! Any advice is always greatly appreciated!

DIY: Body Lava πŸ€©

Hey everyone!

If you’re anything like me, then you love a highlighter, and you’d also love a body lava if you could afford one πŸ˜’!

So I came across such a simple hack on the internet that I just had to try it for myself! (Would love to insert credit here but I saw the video on Facebook and can’t seem to find it again!) So today I’m going to show you how to create your very own two ingredient body lava!

First you will need a small container, it doesn’t really matter what you use for this part it’s just down to preference! I used an old perfume refill bottle for mine!

I filled this bottle with my main ingredient: Baby Oil!

Once I was happy, I picked out a highlighter powder that I wouldn’t mind scraping a little, because this is what you will be adding to your baby oil! I chose my beaut Primark Highlighter palette!

I used the shade glimmer first as you can see by the scrapes haha! I also used the rest of the shades but in a much smaller quantity!

When you’ve finished your scraping, carefully add the mix to your container!

Then SHAKE IT LIKE A POLAROID PIC BOO!

And you should end up with something that looks like this:

How much highlight and what shades you use are completely down to you, it’s your lava so play around with it and see what you think!

My advice would be to start off with a smaller amount of highlight powder, mix it with the oil and then add more until you are happy with the glow it produces!

Here is a video of me pouring it on my skin 😍!

I am in love!

I really hope you enjoyed this post, so let me know what you think in the comments and if you’re new here hit that follow button!

Makeup Monday: Glam On Full

Heyyyyy blogger beauties 😍!

Today is MONDAY and it’s one of my favourite days because I get to upload another makeup look! I wanted to go full glam, in a royal sophisticated kind of way… So the colour ‘royal blue’ seemed to be the obvious choice.

What do you think? Personally I really like this look, and I think the colours fit really nicely with my hair.

I also tried a few curls in my hair to see how that would change my appearance as a whole,

I really like both to be honest with you!

I realised I’m normally quite plain and nude in the lip department but I thought the blues deserved a strong colour to go with them so I went with a deeper plum shade.

I’m 100% planning to re-do my makeup exactly like this when I have a fancy meal or ball to go to.

I have been contemplating starting a YouTube channel for a while now and was wondering what you guys thought of the idea? Would you like seeing step by step videos on how to create these looks?

Could you bare to listen to my Birmingham accent πŸ˜…!

I’d love to hear from you so let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
